Hero Cop: San Bernardino officer says “I’ll take a bullet before you do” in a viral video circling the media. The video is a welcome silver lining to the sobering news of another mass shooting. Watch the footage captured on a survivor’s cell phone above.

Another provocative cover gone viral. Last night, the New York Daily News headline “God Isn’t Fixing This” was all over the news and your Facebook feed. Today, the New York Post has a different take on the traumatic event that isn’t any less controversial.

Paralympian Oscar Pistorius could be back in jail by Christmas, this time for the more severe charge of murder.  A South African appeals court just overturned the Olympic athlete’s earlier, lesser conviction for the manslaughter of his then girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius is currently under house arrest after spending a year of his five-year sentence in jail. But now he will return to court to be re-sentenced. No word on how long the murder charge will keep him locked up.
