TedxBethesdaWomen to Host Inspirational Talks by Female Trailblazers
On Thursday, December 5, TedxBethesdaWomen will host a day-long special event called “Sassy: Lively and Spirited” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bethesda’s Imagination Stage. Twelve women thought leaders and trendsetters will speak on a wide variety of personal perspectives and experiences.
Attendees will enjoy up close and personal access to the presenters, ample opportunity to mingle and network with like-minded women, and access to a live stream of sessions at the national TEDWomen event being held in San Francisco on the same day.
Born of a desire to bring to Bethesda a lineup of “talents, struggles, lessons learned and bodacious risks,” among the distinguished speakers scheduled to take the stage are military pilot, celebrated author and inspirational speaker Vernice Armour; CNN news anchor and foreign affairs correspondent Jill Dougherty; WebMD lifestyle expert Dr. Pamela Peeke; musical theater veteran Kate Campbell Stevenson; and eight other driven, articulate and noteworthy women.
The event is being organized by Jane O. Smith, a communications specialist, image coach, breast cancer survivor and, in her own words, a “sassy, lively and spirited” woman.
Tickets for TEDxBethesdaWomen can be purchased here for $100 each. The ticket price includes a full day of presentations, refreshments, lunch, networking opportunities…and, as Smith says, “a few surprises.”
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Imagination Stage’s scholarship program.
