In this episode, Chef Vikram Sunderam of Rasika, GWMFA urologist Dr. Paul Rusilko and host Marc Silverstein cook a fresh, flavorful and prostate health-friendly fish moilee filled with Indian flair.
One in six men in the United States will develop prostate cancer in his lifetime. Dr. Rusilko explains the higher rate of prostate cancer in America than the Mediterranean and Asia is partly due to the high calories, fatty acids and artificial substances commonly found in Western diets. Prostate cancer is less prevalent in Asian countries, where diets are high in vegetables, and natural spices and herbs. Asian meals also often include fish, like the grouper Sunderam prepares.
