On Deck: A Beltway Series Means Free Marlo Furniture

Another Beltway Series could be a grand slam in giveaways for Marlo Furniture customers. If the Washington Nationals play the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series, the furniture giant will give away an estimated eight million dollars in free Marlo furniture.

Here’s the pitch: Marlo Furniture will refund all purchases made from March 30 to April 6 if there’s a Beltway Series. Both teams won their division last year, so a showdown in the World Series isn’t unlikely.

Other furniture stores around the country have lost millions on similar promotions. For instance, Gallery Furniture in Houston also did a sports promotion and was out $7 million after betting against the Seattle Seahawks in the 2014 Super Bowl.

So let’s root, root, root for the home teams and free furniture!
