Illegal Butt Injections May Cost You More than Money
The cost of getting illegal butt injections is not just financial. In the May/June issue of SHEEN Magazine, Dr. Chukwuemeka Onyewu of Jamachi Plastic Surgery and Medispa paints an unpretty picture of the effects of illegal butt injections and what it takes to correct the botched backsides that walk into his practice every day.
Many men and women opt to get illegal butt shots at invitation-only “pumping parties,” complete with drinks, music, dancing and, of course, injections. For about a quarter of the cost of a legal butt augmentation performed by a licensed plastic surgeon, pumping party madames inject clients with industrial-grade silicone, mineral oil, motor oil, Fix-a-Flat and cement.
People seek butt enhancements for several reasons, according to Dr. Onyewu. Some want to look curvy like Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé. Others do it to boost their self esteem.
At first, the back-alley injections look great, but patients end up spending more money correcting their defective derrieres. Dr. Onyewu says illegal butt injections often lead to infections, lung damage, kidney failure, loss of limbs and death.
Previously featured on NBC Washington, CBS Baltimore, WUSA 9, WTOP and The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Dr. Onyewu is a pioneer in corrective butt surgery. Most plastic surgeons won’t even consider fixing an illegally injected rear end.
