Google’s Seeing the World With New Eyes
Google’s super secret labs have done it again! “It” being, creating something so off the wall, it just might revolutionize technology as we know it – again.
Google Glasses are a brand new (unreleased) accessory that are not used to read small print or see far distances, but to seemingly do everything else. With voice activated smartphone capabilities, day planner, navigation system, camera and more, the spectacles can virtually replace all of your present technology. As you place the glasses over your eyes, small floating icons appear just above your line of sight. As you shift your head in different directions to view the world around you, the glasses augment or supplement what you are seeing. If you look up at the sky, the weather may pop up. Or if you ventured toward the subway, but it was not running that particular day, the glasses would advise you to take a different route, and then proceed to navigate you to your destination.
Google(x) Labs has more work to do on the prototype before the product goes public, but they have definitely got people talking. To watch the video Google released this week entitled “Project Glass: One Day…” click the link below.
