Epicure Is Served: WUSA 9 gives GW MFA’s Special Dish 5 Stars
From WUSA9:
With the bright camera lights, sizzling fish, and the culinary play-by-play… the atmosphere feels right out of Hollywood.
This is Epicure! A dynamic cooking show produced by the George Washington Medical Faculty Associates. Hosted by former Food Network host Marc Silverstein, the show pairs physicians with the area’s top chefs to promote healthy eating with a gourmet flair. Giving patients and their loved ones fresh cuisine options while dealing with medical needs.
The episodes are presented in the waiting rooms at George Washington University Hospital & GW Medical Faculty Associates, but this isn’t your everyday waiting room TV. The featured recipes are geared toward specific patients and their nutritional needs.
Host Marc Silverstein of On The Marc Media says, “So we are talking low calorie, low cholesterol, neutropenic recipes for people who are undergoing cancer treatment.”
“We bring together the best doctors and the best chefs and we make healthy recipes. So what could be a better prescription than the best chefs and doctors in town to tell you how to eat healthy,” adds Silverstein.
The episodes offer recipes for patients who are immune suppressed, coping with cardio issues, diabetes, wheat allergies, and many other conditions.
Epicure features chefs from all over the Washington region along with professionals and physicians from George Washington Medical Faculty Associates.
