Client Spotlight: Spotluck Teams Up With Nourish Now for “Spotluck Potluck”
Let’s Talk Live’s Julie Wright sits down with Spotluck’s Cherian Thomas and Brett Meyers of Nourish Now to discuss an innovative new push to feed those in need. It’s called “Restaurant Week for Everyone,” and it’s tied to the dining industry’s discount promotion now underway in the D.C. area.
Restaurant Week (Jan. 25 – Feb. 7) is a chance for foodies in the DMV to indulge in a variety of delicious cuisines. However, some families aren’t financially free to participate in the event. Spotluck and Nourish Now have teamed up to create “Restaurant Week for Everyone” – an effort that provides restaurant quality food to over 1,000 underprivileged people in Montgomery County. “What’s important to us is bringing back the food to the same county,” says Thomas on air, “by supporting local restaurants, you’re really supporting this initiative.”
Every restaurant that participates in Restaurant Week has partnered with Spotluck on their dining app. They each donate at least one tray of food, then Spotluck and Nourish Now collect the trays to create a “Spotluck Potluck” feast for the struggling Montgomery County families.
Thanks to Spotluck and Nourish Now, less fortunate families get to enjoy the unique culinary experience that Restaurant Week has to offer. Spotluck’s Potlucks have successfully fed thousands of families with over seven food deliveries in the past fifteen months.
Spotluck is available for download at the App Store and Google Play store.
