Breaking News from the Philadelphia Business Journal: Spotluck Spins its Way to Philly
The City of Brotherly Love is about to fall in love with Spotluck and the Philadelphia Business Journal is breaking the news. It is reported that the popular dining app is expanding to Philly, its first city outside its Maryland home base.
Created in Bethesda, Maryland, Spotluck is designed for both customers AND restaurant owners, saving patrons time and money while increasing restaurant traffic. It works on a simple premise – local restaurants thrive when collaborating as a neighborhood. On the app, these restaurants fluctuate their prices by offering “smart” discounts ranging from 10%-30% to attract customers during slower times. Additionally, Spotluck gives users a daily spin to win bonus savings, and the restaurants all throw their name in the hat to be landed upon. It’s fun to take spins, and in addition, Spotluck helps break the “where do we all go to eat” dining dilemma.
As the Journal reports, Spotluck will feature over 75 local restaurants throughout the following neighborhood “hubs”: Old City, Center City, Rittenhouse, South St., Graduate Hospital, East Passyunk and Manayunk. Additional restaurants and hubs will be added in the coming months.
