Get Real Health’s Founding Partner and CTO, Jason Harmon Makes Headlines
On July 29, Harmon took flight with Pilots With Diabetes (PWD) for Diabetes Formation Flight USA 2013. The purpose of the flight was to raise awareness of what pilots with well-managed Type 1 Diabetes can do. The group flew from Council Bluffs Municipal Airport in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the EAA AirVenture airshow in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Jason has a very personal interest in the project, since his own childhood dream of being commissioned in the U.S. Air Force was cut show by a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was very interested in Jason’s story and featured an article about his story and the historic flight.
Reporters from Diabetes Mine, Wings Magazine, eHealth Radio, CNN iReport, All Voices, the Frederick News-Post, Diabetes Health, Diabetic Living, The Gazette, and Health News Digest also took an interest in Harmon’s story.
Harmon wasn’t the only one getting attention in July.
