Variety is definitely a good way to describe Jen Reed’s career path. Never wanting to be a specialist, she always found that too limiting. As a result, she brings years of experience doing the things she loves to On The Marc Media as a Public Relations Account Manager. What a ride it has been!
She realized a talent for storytelling at a young age and pursued opportunities as a journalist in
television, radio, and print before making the transition to public relations and marketing. She has worked for national nonprofit organizations like AAA and Homes for Our Troops, where she was responsible for managing publications, community outreach, and crisis management. She has led such efforts in a number of high-profile cases earning national attention. She has also spent years working in higher education marketing and public relations, enabling her to continue telling great stories.
A native New Englander, Jen grew up in Massachusetts and win or lose Jen loves to watch the Patriots and Red Sox. It is, after all, a well-known fact if the teams are winning, they get the cheers, but Boston sports fans are also there when they’re losing to let them know just how bad they are. In fact, she covered the Patriots for years as a newspaper reporter in North Attleborough, Massachusetts and learned quite a bit about interviewing and asking the right questions from Coach Bill Parcells.
Jen is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, where she earned a BS in Marketing. She also attended Brown University and was awarded a graduate certificate in Management. During her career, she has been awarded by the Associated Press, International Association of Business Communications, CASE, PRSA, and AMA. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, running, and reading a good book.
