Epicure Serves Up a Sweet & Savory Low Glycemic Recipe in Season 2 Premiere

Epicure with Chef MDs is back, and Season 2 kicks off with another must-try recipe! Award-winning chef Ris Lacoste of Washington, D.C.’s RIS prepares a delectable low glycemic Grilled Swordfish, Tabouleh and Cucumber Salad with Sumac Pomegranate Dressing. This Mediterranean dish satisfies an array of dietary needs while satiating a variety of tastes and diets.

In this episode, Chef Ris and host Marc Silverstein are joined by Dr. Brian G. Choi, Associate Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of Advanced Cardiac Imaging at The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates (GWMFA). Dr. Choi kicks off this second season of Epicure with Chef MDs with a recipe tailored for patients with diabetes. Dr. Choi explains that a Mediterranean diet–fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, olive oil, beans, nuts and fish–is great for those on a low glycemic, low fat, low cholesterol and heart-healthy diet.
